For this month’s local spotlight, we’ve decided to feature the beautiful Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA). Fortunately for us locals, BIMA is one of the first buildings to greet visitors from around the world as they step off the ferry onto our beautiful island.
BIMA’s mission is to inspire curiosity, wonder and understanding by connecting people with the contemporary art and craft of the Puget Sound region — and that’s exactly what they do.

Local Spotlight: Lollipops Children’s Boutique
We are officially into the spring season. Soon the kiddos will be breaking out their rain gear and other clothes that have been in the closet for some time, and chances are there have been some growth spurts. In the spirit of new springtime swag—and the eco-friendly focus that Earth Day gives us each April—we are highlighting one of our favorite local shops for new and used children’s clothing: Lollipops Children’s Boutique! A Bainbridge Island staple for fifteen years, Lollipops is an upscale boutique that offers children’s clothes and other locally made goods.

Spring is nearly here and as we prepare for some slightly sunnier days and the sound of the birds chirping, we decided to spotlight one of our favorite places for breakfast or brunch on Bainbridge Island: Good Egg! Since opening in 2017 in the corner spot at Winslow Green, Good Egg has made its way into the hearts—and bellies—of locals.

The month of romance is here and as we prepare to impress our sweethearts with treats and thoughtful gifts, we thought it would be a great time to invite you into our favorite Island florist: Flowering Around! This shop has been adorning our community with beauty since 1987 by collaborating with local artists to create truly unique floral offerings.

We are well on our way into 2019 and that means we are in for a long stretch of winter—short days, cold air, and perhaps even a few snowflakes.
