Ferris Bueller's Night at the Park
Winslow lights up summer nights They say Bainbridge is a small town with a big heart…well, here’s yet another example of just what that looks like. Outdoor movies, shown on the big screen at Waterfront Park on Brien Drive, have been part of our town’s tradition for years. And each year, they get a little bigger, a little better and are always the best family fare in town!
In August, free Friday night movies, sponsored by Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Rec District, are a chance to enjoy an evening with neighbors, friends and family. TJ Faddis will once again serve as emcee and keeps the crowd entertained. Games will be played and prizes won. In case of poor weather, the movie will be moved inside to the Waterfront Park Community Center. Fun is never called for rain!
Tonight enjoy the classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. This 1986 coming-of-age comedy follows prankster Ferris Bueller on his final ‘senior ditch day’. Ferris decides to skip school and spends the day in downtown Chicago. Hillarity ensues as he is accompanied by his girlfriend and best friend while creatively avoiding his school’s Dean of Students. The iconic parade scene will have the audience literally dancing in their seats!!!
BYOS (Bring your own seats), seating begins at 8:30. Movies begin at dusk, and all run approximately 90 minutes. Concessions made available by the Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center. Check www.biparks.org for more information.
