For this month’s Local Spotlight, we’ve chosen a Bainbridge Island staple—Pegasus Coffee House. Since 1980, this local establishment has been serving tasty food, delicious coffee, and community love.

Executive chef and owner Kell Killian believes in made-from-scratch food using locally-sourced ingredients, goods, and drinks—just another thoughtful way to show the community love. From Bainbridge to beyond, they’re shining light on the Pacific Northwest’s finest business, farming, and artisanal community partners.

In the words of Kell Killian, “I’ve always been interested in the flavors and connections between foods and the people that make them: Curious about the foods, and stories of the cooks, and the cultures surrounding them – I’ve always loved connecting the pieces of the mystery pie. Pegasus Coffee House is a place to bring that all together.”

In the unlikely event that you haven’t taken advantage of this local spot, be sure to drop by the waterfront building—you can’t miss the charming ivy-covered exterior. If you can’t make it to the island, be sure to check out their online store where you can get freshly-roasted beans right to your door!

While they are undoubtedly experts in caffeinated beverages and yummy food, they double as a meeting hub for our island. Regularly hosting live music and art events, be sure to check out their event calendar.
