Local Spotlight: B A | S A
July’s local spotlight has our taste buds traveling to Southeast Asia.
Ran by siblings Trinh and Thai Nguyen and inspired by local ingredients, Ba Sa is a modern take on Vietnamese cuisine. The name Ba Sa comes from the ca ba sa catfish featured in ca kho to, a Vietnamese dish that’s a Nguyen family favorite. Together Trinh and Thai created a menu to highlight traditional Vietnamese dishes inspired by French techniques. This comes together beautifully as they pair it with the abundance of fresh produce and seafood offered here locally in the Pacific Northwest. The siblings say, “Ba Sa is dedicated to our parents who sacrificed everything to ensure that we would have a bright and successful future.” They continue to honor their parents by creating delicious meals and providing exceptional hospitality.
