Native Plants for Bainbridge Island Conservation

The sun is coming out and the spring flowers are abloom.  This is a perfect time to come by and grab some native plants to revamp your garden.

New this year, there will be a native species class led by John Van Den Meerendonk, owner of Botanica Inc.  be sure to stop by the plant sale from 11am – noon to learn about the importance and advantages of using native pants for restoration and landscaping.   John will discuss attributes and selection of native trees, shrubs, groundcovers, perennials and ferns, as well as give you a brief overview of their place in the landscape.  There will also be free restoration and landscape classes at the same time.

Support the Bainbridge Island Land Trust by stopping by Saturday April 12 from 9am to the new location – The First Baptist Church (corner of Madison and New Brooklyn, across from the fire station).
