Chilly Hilly: An Island Favorite

Every year thousands of bicyclists make the trek from Seattle to ride in this annual tradition. The Chilly Hilly is a fundraiser for Cascade Bicycle Club, Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation and more than ten other Bainbridge Island charity groups.  Washington State Ferries is warning travelers to expect delays on Sunday morning, Feb. 24, from Seattle to Bainbridge Island due to heavy bicycle traffic.

More than 3,000 bicyclists are expected to take sailings from Seattle and vehicle capacity will be limited on the following departures from Seattle: 7:55, 8:45, 9:35 and 10:35 a.m. Bicycles will be accessing the terminal for staging via Marion Street (North Gate).

All off-loading vehicles from Bainbridge Island and Bremerton will exit south onto Alaskan Way.
